Hialeah Police Department Locates Missing Person Four Blocks Away From Point Last Seen with SafetyNet Tracking™ System

The Hialeah Police Department located a missing person with a cognitive condition using the SafetyNet Tracking™ system. In this case, a 55-year-old man with dementia was reported missing from West Avenue in Hialeah, Florida on July 12 at 4:57 PM. Authorities from the Hialeah Police Department arrived at location and began searching for the individual.  After following the signal emitting from the missing individual’s SafetyNet bracelet, the individual was located approximately four blocks away from the last location seen.

The SafetyNet Tracking system is designed to assist public safety agencies in locating persons who have cognitive conditions and have wandered off and are missing.  SafetyNet clients wear a SafetyNet bracelet that emits radio frequency signals, which can be tracked by local public safety officials via their SafetyNet Search and Rescue Receivers.
