Boston Police Department Locates Missing Person 80-Year-Old Man Rescued in Less Than an Hour The SafetyNet Tracking™ service helped officers with the Boston Police Department locate a missing person with a cognitive condition. In this case, an 80-year-old man with dementia was reported missing from his home in the Jamaica Plain Section of Boston on Monday, April 28 at approximately 4:45 PM. Officers from the Boston Police Department arrived in Jamaica Plain and began searching for the individual, who was wearing a SafetyNet Tracking radio frequency bracelet. After following the signal emitting from the individual’s SafetyNet bracelet, the individual was located, approximately 1/2 mile away from the point he was last seen, on the corner of Center and Elliott Streets in Jamaica Plain. The man was found unharmed and was returned to his residence by police. He was rescued less than an hour from the beginning of the search.
