Tracking bracelet leads to boy
Rescue Story 04/29/2012
A missing 14-year-old boy who has autism was located within 25 minutes last week thanks to tracking equipment used by the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Department. A search-and-rescue team equipped with SafetyNet Tracking managed to find the boy hiding in a wooded area near his home. Responders tracked a frequency signal emitted from the boy’s SafetyNet bracelet, a transmission that was also received by the Norwell Police Department. The April 18 rescue marked the third retrieval of a person by the sheriff’s department using the tracking equipment.
