Fort Lauderdale Police Department Locates Missing Person for the Fifth Time With the SafetyNet® Tracking System

The Fort Lauderdale Police Department located a missing person with a cognitive condition using the SafetyNet® Tracking system. In this case, a 55-year-old man with dementia was reported missing from his home on July 16 at 9:31 AM. Authorities from the Fort Lauderdale Police Department arrived on location and began searching for the individual. After following the signal emitting from the missing individual’s SafetyNet bracelet, the individual was located approximately a half mile away from the last location seen. It was the fifth time in two and a half months SafetyNet equipment was used to rescue the individual; he was also rescued on May 5, May 29, June 6 and June 16.
