Fort Lauderdale Police Department Locates Missing Person

Fort Lauderdale Police Department located a missing person with a cognitive condition using the SafetyNet® Tracking System. In this case, a 55-year-old man with dementia was reported missing in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on May 29 at 10:28 P.M. Officers from the Fort Lauderdale Police Department arrived on location and began searching for the individual. After following the signal emitting from the missing individual’s SafetyNet bracelet, the individual was located approximately four miles away from the point he was last seen. It was the second time in May that the SafetyNet equipment was used to locate this individual.
